PRIVACY POLICY

The Privacy Policy below explains how Wyman Law Group collects and uses personally and non-personally identifiable information collected on www.wyman.law.com and its affiliated websites/apps/online services (“WLG sites”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected offline, collected in the client intake process, collected from clients of Wyman Law Group, or collected from third party platforms such as Yelp! Information relating to clients is strictly used per California Bar ethical rules and guidelines. Information regarding the attorney-client relationships and Terms of Use are available, here. 

 

Information We Collect

Wyman Law Group may collect the following information when visiting and interacting with WLG Sites (1) personally identifiable information (such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, education and employment information), and 

(2) non-personal information regarding the pages which you have visited on WLG Sites.

 

Personally Identifiable Information

Wyman Law Group only collects personally identifiable information you have chosen to provide such as your name, address, e-mail address and other personal information so that we can respond to your inquiries, process requests for employment, and notify you, if necessary, about a material change to Wyman Law Group policies and terms of use. The legal bases for this use is for processing data to deliver requested information based on your consent, fulfilling contracts you request, handling requests for employment, and notifying you about changes to our policies.  Please do not submit personally identifiable information to Wyman Law Group or its attorneys if you do not want Wyman Law Group to use and store your information. Personally identifiable information may be stored on its servers or cloud storage sites, or in its databases, in the United States and in other jurisdictions. Personally identifiable information may be transferred to jurisdictions which may not afford the rights conferred by data protection laws in the European Union or other jurisdictions. Users from the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use, please note, acknowledge, and understand your personally identifiable information may be used as described herein and may be transferred to other jurisdictions as indicated above.

 

Personally identifiable information may be disclosed to comply or conform with the law or legal process served on us, to protect rights or property, or to protect personal safety.  It may also be disclosed to process requests or provide requested services and can be disclosed to third-party service providers to maintain and administer WLG Sites, including usage and volume statistical information from WLG Site users.  Do not submit information via WLG Sites you do not wish our unaffiliated third-party service providers to access. 

 

In the event of business reorganization, including sales of our assets, personally identifiable information may be transmitted to third parties.

 

Wyman Law Group does not otherwise use, share or disclose your personally identifiable information to any third parties unless otherwise described at the time it is collected.  

 

Cookies etc.

We allow certain third parties to use, and ourselves use, session cookies, persistent cookies and other similar technologies to provide our services and to help collect data. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser, lasting only during your visit while Persistent cookies remain on your device’s hard drive until deleted or expired. Some cookies are essential for users to navigate and use features of WLG Sites, without which you may not be able to access certain content on certain devices. Others allow WLG Sites to remember your choices and provide personalized features. Others help us see how you use WLG Sites to enhance performance and with development.

 

You may instruct your browser to refuse all or some cookies or to manage when a cookie is being sent. The Help feature on most browsers provides information on how to accept, disable cookies or to notify you when receiving cookies. You may not be able to access certain features of WLG Sites by blocking or deleting “strictly necessary” cookies.

 

Please visit www.networkadvertising.org to learn more about opting out of advertising cookies in the US. You may still receive online advertising, but the ads delivered by companies opted-out from will not be tailored based on your preferences and usage patterns.

 

Non-personally Identifiable Information 

Non-personally identifiable information is used to manage WLG sites by analyzing navigation data to make them more accessible and interesting for visitors, and may share that data with third parties.

 

Choice

Please notify the sender or follow unsubscribe instructions if provided if you prefer not to receive e-mail from Wyman Law Group and Wyman Law Group will take reasonable efforts to honor it and/or delete your information from managed databases.

 

Third-Party Websites

This online privacy policy applies to WLG Sites only.  Third party websites, including those linked to in WLG Sites, have different privacy policies which should be consulted upon visiting those other sites.

 

Changes to Privacy Policy

Wyman Law Group reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy and will revise the “Last Updated” date at the bottom of this Privacy Policy in such an event.

 

Security

Wyman Law Group has implemented protections to discourage unauthorized access via the Internet; however, Wyman Law Group cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to it and is provided by you at your own risk. 

 

Data Retention

Laws may require holding information for specific periods.  Your personal information is otherwise kept only as long as necessary to perform the purposes set out in herein.

 

Rights

Wyman Law Group does not provide goods or services outside of California, United States of America.  Residents of the European Union may be entitled to ask for a copy of your information, to correct, delete or restrict its use or transfer it. You may be entitled object to some activities and withdraw consent; however, this may be limited when there is a legal requirement to process your information. We aim to satisfy any queries regarding data processing.  Questions regarding collection and use of information via WLG Sites may be emailed to brandon@wyman.law Residents of the European Union also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

 

Special Policy Regarding Information from Children 

Wyman Law Group does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from any person under the age of 13, or 16 in the European Union, without parental consent.  WLG Sites are not targeted to children under the age of 13, or 16 in the European Union.  Such data will be deleted as soon as Wyman Law Group becomes aware of it.
